| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned oval arms of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, elaborately mantled with decorative scrollwork and supported by ornate cartouche elements, surmounted by a large ducal crown. The shield is quartered and bears the traditional Mecklenburg charges. The surrounding legend reads FRIEDERICUS D.G. DUX MECLENB. in raised Latin letters distributed around the periphery, with the date 1763 positioned in the lower field beneath the shield. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a bold six-line denomination inscription occupying the entire field in large raised capital letters, reading 8 / SCHILLINGE / COURANT / MECKLENB: / SCHWERIN: / MUNZE. The numeral 8 appears prominently at the top centre, flanked by two decorative floral rosette ornaments, conveying the coin's value and issuing mint authority in a plain, typographic style characteristic of North German coinage of the period. |
