Reverse description The quartered arms of Spain — combining the castles of Castile and the lions of León in alternate quarters — displayed on a large heraldic shield set within an elaborate rose blossom, whose stylised petals radiate symmetrically to fill the field. The shield is surmounted by an imperial crown, and the whole composition is enclosed within a beaded border. The circumferential legend in Latin uncial script identifies the coin as the gold coinage of the imperial city of Kampen.
