| Reverse description | Central effigy presents a bare-shouldered bust of a Native American figure in left profile, the head adorned with a prominent feathered headdress rendered in fine parallel lines, the hair flowing naturally to the shoulder. The portrait occupies the majority of the field and is executed in a bold, somewhat primitive engraving style characteristic of the early Colombian republican coinage. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE COLOMBIA arcs across the upper periphery, while the date 1820, flanked by two raised dots, appears along the lower exergual area.
