Reverse description Central device depicts a Phrygian liberty cap set within a radiant sunburst of straight rays emanating outward to the periphery, evoking liberty and independence. The word LIBERTAD is inscribed across the cap's band. Around the lower portion of the field, the denomination, mint mark, date, assayers' initials, and fineness specifications are distributed as individual elements within the legend, separated by small stars. The coin has a reeded border with fine milling.
