Obverse description Host coin obverse features the draped and laureate bust of Ferdinand VII facing right, with the legend FERDIN·VII·DEI·GRATIA surrounding the effigy. Applied over the bust is the insurgent countermark of Don José María de Linares, struck within a dotted rectangular cartouche bearing the divided inscription LINA / RES. The countermark is positioned centrally across the king's portrait in the field. A date is visible in the exergue of the underlying host coin.
