Obverse description Crowned quartered royal arms of Spain at center, displaying castles and lions in the quarters, within an open wreath of laurel and olive branches. The denomination numeral '8' appears to the left of the shield and the mintmark 'R' to the right, with the mint initial letters 'M.O.' positioned in the exergue below. The crown surmounting the shield is of the Spanish royal type, rendered in high relief.
