Reverse description The crowned royal arms of Spain, quartered with the castles of Castile and the lions of León, with a central escutcheon bearing the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty, flanked by the Pillars of Hercules each entwined with a banderole inscribed PLUS VLTRA. The elaborate royal crown surmounts the shield above. The mint mark Mo and assayer initials FM appear to the left of the pillars, with the denomination 8R positioned to the left. The circular legend HISPAN ET IND REX surrounds the design, and a milled border frames the entire composition.
