Obverse description Draped bust of King Carlos III facing right, rendered in high relief with laureate and flowing hair tied at the nape. The effigy displays detailed drapery at the shoulder and chest in the neoclassical portrait style introduced by engraver Jerónimo Antonio Gil. The circular legend reads CAROLUS·III DEI·GRATIA, running from lower left to upper right around the bust. The mint date appears in the lower exergue area beneath the portrait. A fine milled border of beads frames the entire obverse field.
