Reverse description The early Chilean coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a quartered escutcheon bearing a five-pointed star, supported on the dexter side by a rearing crowned horse and on the sinister side by a standing crowned condor, both rendered in fine relief. Above the shield rises an elaborate plume crest. The base is decorated with a scrolling floral and foliate ornament. The border is composed of a uniform beaded ring. No peripheral legend is present on this die.
