Obverse description The crowned Saxon coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the distinctive barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin (rautenkranz) bend, rendered in fine detail. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown of elaborate form. Flanking the shield on either side are symmetrical palm branches, their fronds curving gracefully to frame the composition. The mint letter H appears in the exergue below the shield.
