Obverse description Draped bust of Philip IV facing right, set within a raised inner circle, the king depicted with long hair and ruffled collar in the court style of the mid-17th century. The bust is rendered in low relief consistent with roller-milled coinage of the Segovia Mint. The circumferential Latin legend reads PHILIPPVS IIII D G, interrupted by cross stops, and continues around the lower arc with HISPANIARVM. A beaded border runs along the outer rim. The fields show the characteristic flat, slightly uneven surface typical of the vellón milled coinage of this period.
