| Reverse description | The reverse displays the residual design of the underlying host coin, heavily worn and partially obscured by the countermarking process, with design elements rendered largely illegible due to extensive circulation. Traces of the original struck design survive in the field, consistent with earlier Castilian copper coinage types. The date and mint initial of the revalidation countermark appear within or adjacent to the secondary stamp. The coin's irregular planchet edges reflect the crude milling and irregular flan preparation common to Spanish copper coinage of this period. The field retains areas of original copper surface alongside zones of dark patination and surface corrosion. |
