Obverse description Within a central raised circle, three lines of Arabic script occupy the field: the name of the issuing state (Al-Ghurfa) at top, the anagrammatic numeral 129 denoting the ruler Saleh flanked by the ruler's name 'Abdāt in the middle line, and the Hijri year 1344 below. The central circle is framed by two symmetrical ears of grain arching from the base to the upper sides of the coin. A continuous border of raised beads encircles the entire design.

Reverse description The Arabic numeral ٨ (8), denoting the denomination of 8 Khumsiyyah, is boldly struck within a raised central circle occupying the field. Two symmetrical ears of grain frame the central circle on either side, rising from the lower field and arching inward. A continuous border of raised beads runs along the coin's rim, consistent with the obverse design.
