| Obverse description | Crude square klippe flan with a roughly circular struck area in the field. The legend is arranged in three horizontal lines reading MINDA / OBSESSA / .1.6.3.4., denoting the besieged city of Minden and the date of issue 1634. The lettering is bold and slightly irregular, characteristic of hastily produced siege coinage. Small pellet or dot ornaments appear above and below the inscriptions.
