| Reverse description | Central device depicts a domed mosque or palace facade with a prominent arched gateway, flanked by two Afghan national flags at either side. The architectural motif is encircled by a wreath of wheat ears tied at the base with a ribbon bearing an Arabic inscription. Above the central device, the denomination '٨ كرام' (8 grams) is inscribed in the upper field, while the Afghan solar hijri date in Eastern Arabic numerals appears in the lower field beneath the building.
