Additional information

Qutb ud-Din Mubarak Shah ruled for just under three years before being murdered by his own favorite, Khusraw Khan, in 1320 — the last Khalji sultan and the end of a dynasty that had controlled the Sultanate for three decades. His coinage is correspondingly scarce, compressed into a narrow window of production. Billon issues of this reign suffer from notoriously inconsistent alloy ratios across surviving specimens, a reflection of the fiscal instability that marked the final Khalji years rather than any single mint decision.
