| Obverse description | The obverse features a playful, hand-drawn artistic composition in the style of a child's illustration, depicting carnival motifs associated with the Samobor Fasnik festival. In the upper field, a garland of triangular pennant flags stretches across the coin, flanked by carnival mask figures on the left and right sides. A top hat is prominently rendered in the lower centre of the field. The legend 'REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA' arcs across the upper portion of the field in a whimsical, informal script, while the denomination '8 EURO' appears in the lower right field. The design was created by Karlo Gross. |
