Reverse description The quartered arms of the Spanish Crown displayed on an ornate shield, bearing the castles of Castile, lions of León, fleurs-de-lis of Bourbon, and the pomegranate of Granada, surmounted by an elaborate royal crown. The shield is encircled by the collar and pendant of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The mint mark 'Mo' (Mexico City) and assayer initial 'F' appear in the lower field flanking the base of the shield. The encircling Latin motto legend occupies the outer periphery.
