Obverse description Armored bust of Fernando VI facing right, rendered in a bold, high-relief hammered style characteristic of colonial cob coinage. The king is depicted with an elaborate periwig of tight curled locks cascading to the shoulder, wearing a cuirass with decorative ornamentation at the collar. The legend arcs around the periphery, partially visible due to the irregular flan, reading FERD VI D G HISPAN ET IND REX. The date 1747 appears prominently in the lower field, flanked by floral rosette stops. The overall strike is typical of macuquina (cob) production, with an irregular planchet edge and uneven surface.
