Obverse description Armored bust of Carlos III facing right, rendered in the style of Fernando VI, occupying the central field of the coin. The effigy features an elaborate curled wig with flowing locks descending to the shoulder, draped in a cuirass with ornamental detail at the collar and shoulder clasp. The date 1770 appears at the bottom of the legend, flanked by rosette stops. The surrounding circular legend reads CAROLS III D G HISPAN ET IND REX, with text distributed evenly around the periphery, separated by pellet stops. The obverse is struck on a broad flan with a fine milled border.
