Obverse description Draped bust of King Carlos III facing right, rendered in high relief in the baroque colonial style, with curled hair and wearing an armored cuirass with decorative lace cravat. The royal legend encircles the effigy, reading CAROLUS III D G to the left and HISP ET IND REX to the right. The date appears in the lower exergual area, flanked by stops. The field is smooth with a toothed or milled border running the full circumference.
