| Obverse description | The Peruvian national arms displayed centrally within an ornate shield, comprising three quartered sections depicting a vicuña, a cinchona tree, and a cornucopia. The shield is flanked on each side by a draped national flag and surmounted by a civic wreath. The circular legend REPUBLICA PERUANA arcs across the upper left, with LIMA positioned at the top right, separated by star ornaments. The denomination 8E and the fineness indication 21Qs appear to the right, with the date and assayer initials placed at the bottom of the field. The entire design is bordered by a fine beaded rim. |
