| Obverse description | Draped bust of Abbot Adolph von Dalberg facing right, wearing ornate ecclesiastical robes with elaborate decorative detailing at the collar and chest. The hair is rendered in a long curled periwig style typical of the early 18th century. The circular Latin legend reads ADOLPH D G S R I P AB FVLD D A A C P G & G P, distributed around the effigy within a beaded border. The portrait is executed in high relief with fine engraving, conveying the dignity and authority of the Prince-Abbot. |
