Obverse description Four draped busts of the Franconian Circle rulers arranged in a quatrefoil pattern, each portrait set within an individual beaded oval cartouche: Christian of Brandenburg-Bayreuth at top, Joachim Ernst of Brandenburg-Ansbach at right, Johann Georg of Bamberg at bottom, and Philipp Adolf of Würzburg at left. Each portrait is accompanied by its respective coat of arms, with the four shields converging at the center of the composition. The circular outer legend is divided among the four cartouches, each segment identifying the respective ruler by name and title in Latin abbreviation.
