| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as portrayed at age 77, bareheaded and adorned with a necklace and earrings, after the portrait by Susanna Blunt. The legend arcs around the periphery, with the face value stated below the effigy. A commemorative double-date inscription '1952' and '2022' flanks the portrait, separated by four pellets symbolising the four successive royal effigies that appeared on Canadian coinage during Her Majesty's reign. The design serves as a memorial tribute to Elizabeth II's 70 years on the throne. |
