| Reverse description | A finely detailed kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae) perches prominently on a gnarled branch in the centre of the field, facing left with its characteristic large head and stout beak rendered in high relief. A large circular sun disc rises behind the bird to the left, its reflection depicted in stylised rippling water below. A native Australian tree with foliage and clumps of grass appear to the right, adding naturalistic depth to the composition. The engraver's initials AH appear at the base of the central design, with the Perth Mint's P mintmark visible to the left of the branch. The legend AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA arcs along the upper border, while the inscription 2019 5oz 9999 SILVER appears in the lower exergue. |
