Obverse description The national arms of Bosnia and Herzegovina — a shield bearing a diagonal band and five fleurs-de-lis, supported by stylized scrollwork — occupies the upper central field. Below the arms, a detailed depiction of the Old Bridge (Stari Most) of Mostar spans the lower portion of the design. The circular legend REPUBLIKA BOSNA I HERCEGOVINA runs along the upper periphery in Latin script, while the date 1996, flanked by decorative cross ornaments, appears in the lower exergue.
