| Obverse description | The obverse is framed by a stonework border evoking a medieval wall, with a large Gothic arch at centre through which the steeple of the oldest church in Orlagau rises amid foliage. The denomination '75 Pfennig' appears in Gothic blackletter numerals and script on both the left and right flanks, with 'Notgeld' upper left and 'Gemeinde Neuhosen' split across the upper register. Below the arch, the caption 'Älteste Kirche d. Orlagaus' is set in a rectangular panel, and a facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister with the date '1. Sept. 1921' appears at lower right alongside an expiry notice at lower left. |
