| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in a warm ochre and red multicolour scheme within a double-rule black border. A central octagonal vignette, captioned 'Rathaus' at its base and credited to artists Trube and Graef, presents a detailed colour illustration of the Wasungen Town Hall, a half-timbered structure with a distinctive red-tiled roof and green-domed tower.
