Obverse description The obverse presents a vivid polychrome vignette of a stylised map of Africa in yellow, with the former German colonial territories — Togo, Kamerun, Deutsch-Südwest, and Deutsch-Ostafrika — marked in red and labelled alongside the dates 1884–1918; Kiautschau and Deutsche Südseeinseln are also indicated on the periphery. The central map vignette is flanked by tall tropical palm trees rendered in green and dark brown, with lush foliage at the base. Below the map, a bold letterpress inscription reads DEUTSCH-HANSEATISCHER KOLONIAL GEDENKTAG / HAMBURG BERLIN BREMEN, with the denomination 75 PF. in a circular cartouche at centre, validity text flanking it, and the manuscript signature of the Geschäftsführung at lower right.

The name CARL WOERMANN is inscribed in bold script at the top against a solid green header panel. The denomination 75 PF. appears in circular guilloche cartouches at lower left and lower right, with the legend Gedenkt unserer Kolonien in period script at the base; the engraver's name KLEINSCHMIDT is visible at lower left.
