Obverse description The obverse is printed in red-orange and black on a tan paper ground, with a decorative border of repeated '75 Pf.' numerals at the four corners. The central vignette, set within a bold black rectangular frame against a vivid red-orange field, presents a prancing white horse in profile — the heraldic symbol of Brunswick — flanked on the left by a panel bearing the large denomination numeral '75 Pf.' and on the right by a text panel stating the note's legal tender validity and expiry date of 1 May 1923. The issuer's name 'Braunschweigische Staatsbank' appears in Gothic blackletter script along the lower margin, accompanied by the place and date 'Braunschweig, den 1. Mai 1921.' and a manuscript signature.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in orange and grey-brown, divided into three vertical panels. The wide central panel contains a detailed vignette of a Brunswick street scene with the Gothic tower of the Andreaskirche rising above medieval half-timbered buildings, captioned below with 'ALT-BRAUNSCHWEIG' and 'WOLLMARKT'. The left and right orange panels each carry a stylised medieval figure in grey — a craftsman with a hammer on the left and a figure with a donkey on the right — while vertical text bands between the panels bear a Low German proverb. The denomination '75' appears in the upper corners of the outer panels, and the artist's signature 'A. Löhr' is noted at lower right.
