| Obverse description | Central vignette presents a detailed letterpress view of the Kirchhain Rathaus (town hall), a multi-gabled Renaissance-style building with red-tiled roofs, flanked by trees and a decorative column surmounted by an eagle; the caption 'RATHAUS' appears above the vignette.
