| Obverse description | The obverse is laid out in a two-color letterpress design in black and red on cream paper, with a decorative serrated outer border. At centre, a large vignette presents the heraldic coat of arms of Belgard — a crowned griffin above and a rampant lion below, set within an elaborate baroque cartouche of scrolling foliage; the monogram 'WHL' appears within the vignette. The denomination '75' is printed in bold type at upper left in a framed panel, with 'Pfg' in a corresponding panel at upper right, while the issuer's name 'BELGARD' is set in large red gothic lettering along the top. The payment text and series designation 'Konto N' occupy the left and lower-left panels, with a serial number printed at lower right, and the printer's imprint 'FLEMMING-WISKOTT-A.G.GLOGAU.' appears at the very foot of the note. |

Belgard an der Persante — now Białogard, Poland — was a small Pomeranian market town whose municipal savings bank issued this note during the Notgeld emergency of 1918–1921, when a chronic coin shortage forced hundreds of German local authorities to print their own fractional currency. Flemming & Wiskott in Glogau were among the more prolific regional Notgeld printers of the period, handling commissions from numerous Pomeranian and Silesian municipalities.
The 75 Pfennig denomination is slightly unusual — most series leaned on 25, 50, and 1 Mark values. Whether Belgard issued this as part of a matched set or as a standalone stopgap is worth checking against the full municipal series records.
