| Obverse description | Pink speckled ground with the city arms of Alsfeld at centre — a crowned lion rampant holding a sword, rendered in red and black — flanked by the denomination numerals '75' in large red Gothic script at left and right, each followed by 'Pfg' below. Two ribbon banners at the top carry the commemorative inscription marking the 700th anniversary of the city, with the founding year '1222' at lower left and the issue year '1922' at lower right.
