Obverse description The obverse is set within an ornate baroque cartouche with lilac and orange underprint scrollwork. At centre top, an oval vignette contains an engraved portrait bust of a man in 18th-century dress and tricorn hat, believed to represent Crown Prince Frederick of Prussia, rendered in black letterpress against an orange ground. The denomination "Fünfundsiebzig Pfennig" is inscribed in bold Gothic (Fraktur) blackletter script across the lower portion of the note, flanked by decorative orange floral guilloche motifs, with redemption and validity notices in German script text at left and right.
