| Obverse description | The obverse is framed by a decorative border of intertwining ivy and oak foliage rendered in a woodcut-style letterpress. The upper portion bears the denomination '75 Pfg. Gutschein der Stadt Kahla S.A.' in bold blackletter script, below which a dedicatory line reads 'Der Stadt Kahla, S.A. gewidmet.' The central field is occupied by a facsimile inscription in cursive script attributed to von Hindenburg, with the serial number printed in the upper right and the issue date 'Ausgabe 15. Sept. 1921' and expiry date 'Verfall 31. Dez. 1921' appearing at the lower margin alongside two manuscript signatures above the titles Bürgermeister and Stadtrat. |
