Obverse description The obverse is framed by decorative green and red geometric borders with the word 'DRACHENGELD' running vertically on both left and right sides in yellow lettering on a black diamond pattern. The central field carries the bold Gothic header 'Stadt Geldern' at top, below which appears the municipal coat of arms of Geldern — a blue shield bearing a golden lion beneath a mural crown — flanked by the date inscription 'Geldern, den 4. November 1921' and the authority line 'der Bürgermeister' with a manuscript facsimile signature. The denomination '75 Pfennig' is printed in large red numerals at the base, with a text block in red Gothic script referencing the municipal savings authority (Städtische Sparkasse) and the Ersatzgeldkonto der Stadtgemeinde.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in a vivid polychrome palette of black, green, blue, and yellow, with ornate floral and foliate borders framing a central triptych silhouette vignette. The black-on-white silhouette scene depicts the legend of the Geldern dragon: two figures — one armed with a pitchfork and one gesturing in alarm — confronting a large writhing dragon, rendered in an expressive Scherenschnitt (paper-cut) artistic style. The denomination '75' appears in yellow shield cartouches at left and right, while dialect verses in Low German (Cleverländisch) run along the top and bottom margins.
