Obverse description Printed in dark brown ink on smooth, firm reddish-brown paper, the obverse carries the issuing authority title in Gothic script at the top, with the denomination numeral and text in a central cartouche. A framed text block below sets out the redemption conditions and validity clause, dated 9 March 1920, with the Bürgermeister's manuscript signature at lower right. Floral ornaments appear at lower left and right flanking a serial number.

Reverse description Printed in red, gray, black, and white on reddish-brown paper, the reverse is divided into three vertical panels: the two outer panels carry foliate underprint with the denomination '75 Pfennig' in bold red numerals flanked by the word 'über' above. The central panel contains an arched vignette with a detailed line-engraved view of the Kuhtor, Kempen's historic medieval gate tower, captioned 'Kuhtor' below. The heading 'Gutschein der Stadt Kempen-Rh.' runs across the full width at the top in mixed black and red Gothic lettering.
