Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a diadem and pearl earring, as designed by Dora de Pédery-Hunt. The portrait presents a mature, detailed bust with fine hair and facial modeling characteristic of de Pédery-Hunt's sculptural style. The legend ELIZABETH II flanks the portrait vertically on the left, while D•G•REGINA appears on the right. The date 1999 is inscribed in the lower field beneath the portrait. The overall presentation is refined and understated, well-suited to the small diameter of the platinum flan.
