| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, depicted at approximately 77 years of age, bare-headed with hair styled upswept, wearing a necklace and drop earrings, as sculpted by Susan Taylor. The legend ELIZABETH II D•G•REGINA arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script. The portrait is rendered in the mature style characteristic of the fifth definitive effigy series used on Canadian coinage from 2003 onward. The field is polished to a proof finish, with the legend and effigy in relief. |

| Reverse description | Two vivid red-painted autumn maple leaves, overlapping and rendered in applied colour enamel, are depicted resting upon a bed of smoothly sculpted river stones set against a flowing water background suggested by sinuous engraved lines in the lower field. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper periphery in a stylised script, while the denomination 75 DOLLARS and the date 2010 appear in matching script along the lower field. The designer's initials CD are incused in the lower right field. The contrast between the polished gold ground and the vibrant painted leaves creates a striking visual effect characteristic of this Royal Canadian Mint colour series. |
