| Additional information |
Issued to mark the 25th anniversary of Apollo 11, this coin came out of a broader wave of commemorative silver struck for central African states throughout the 1990s — a period when BEAC member nations routinely licensed their issuing authority to foreign minting houses producing collector pieces with little domestic circulation. Most of these issues were sold directly into the European and American numismatic market and never entered circulation in Chad, Cameroon, or any other BEAC member state.
KM#108 is catalogued under the Central African States umbrella, though attribution to a specific member nation within the federation is often ambiguous in dealer listings.
