Obverse description The field bears the name of the collegiate church in two lines of blackletter (Fraktur) script reading 'Collégiale de Neuchâtel', surmounted by a stylized orb-and-cross ecclesiastical symbol in relief. The serial number '4413' and the fineness mark 'GL900' appear in the lower exergue in smaller Roman characters.

Reverse description A detailed relief view of the Collegiate Church of Neuchâtel is depicted in three-quarter perspective, showing the Romanesque-Gothic facade with its rose window and arched portal, flanked by trees on either side. The founding date '1276' appears in the upper field, and the engraver's signature 'GRUPP' is incised in the lower right of the field.
