| Reverse description | Two standing figures facing each other in high relief: a smelter worker at left, shown from behind wearing a wide-brimmed hat and leather apron and holding a poker rod raised in his right hand, clasping hands with a miner at right who wears a traditional driving jacket and a cap with an oil lamp, his right arm resting on a loaded ore wagon. Smoking industrial chimneys are visible in the left background. A decorative tablet in the lower exergue bears the dates 1200 and 1900 flanked by oak and floral sprigs. The inscription appears in the right field, and the maker's mark G. & S. is incused at the bottom of the exergue. |
