| Obverse description | The central field features the national emblem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, depicting a hydroelectric power station beneath a five-pointed star with radiating rays, flanked by sheaves of rice bound with a ribbon bearing Korean script, and a hammer and brush crossed at the base. The emblem is presented within an oval cartouche at the centre of the coin. Surrounding the emblem, a Hangul legend reading the full official name of the issuing bank curves along the upper periphery, while the fineness '999' appears to the right and the weight '20g' to the left in the middle field. The denomination '7 WON' is inscribed in Latin characters along the lower rim, flanked by decorative foliate ornaments. |
