Reverse description At center, the crowned arms of the Dutch Republic — a rampant lion to the right, holding a sword and a sheaf of arrows — are displayed within a rectangular shield surmounted by a Royal crown. The denomination numeral 7 appears to the left of the shield and the abbreviation GL to the right. The date is prominently struck above the crown. The circumferential Latin legend CONCORDIA RES PARVÆ CRESCUNT encircles the design, reading the motto of the Dutch Republic meaning 'By unity, small things grow.' A fine toothed border frames the entire reverse.
