Reverse description The copper-nickel centre depicts the Transfiguration of the Lord in relief: a haloed Christ stands at centre flanked by two figures (Moses and Elijah) on rocky ground, with two prostrate apostles visible in the foreground below. The scene is framed by a stylised arch motif extending into the brass ring. The date A.D. 1677 appears in the exergue, and the mint mark MET is visible in the lower left field. The legend around the upper arc of the brass ring names the issuing parish.
