| Obverse description | Central field depicts a whirling dervish (semazen) in mid-rotation, arms outstretched and head tilted, wearing the characteristic tall conical sikke hat and a billowing white tennure robe rendered in fine relief. To the upper left of the figure, a three-line poetic inscription in cursive script reads the Rumi verse 'Gene gel, gene / Ne olursan ol, / Nasılsan öyle gel.' The circular legend 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' runs along the upper rim, flanked on either side by the Turkish crescent-and-star emblem. The denomination '7.500.000 LİRA' and the date '2001' are inscribed along the lower rim. |
