| Reverse description | The oval reverse bears a finely detailed naturalistic depiction of three blooming specimens of Centaurea tchihatcheffii, a critically endangered endemic knapweed of Turkey, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The plants are shown with serrated lanceolate leaves and slender stems terminating in large radiate flower heads with finely striated petals. A curved arc runs along the lower portion of the field, flanked by the Turkish common name YANARDÖNER to the left and the binomial scientific name Centaurea tchihatcheffii to the right. The engraver's signature N. EKSİ appears discreetly in the lower right field. |
