| Additional information |
Cabinda is an Angolan exclave separated from the main territory by a strip of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and it has never functioned as an independent state. The "Republic of Cabinda" is an unrecognized entity whose separatist movement, the FLEC, has been active since the 1970s. Coins issued under its name have no monetary circulation and exist entirely as fantasy pieces produced for the collector market.
X# prefixes in Krause cataloging designate these non-circulating or fantasy issues explicitly.
