Obverse description Central field depicts the traditional Mysore emblem featuring a seated figure of Chamundeshwari (the state deity) accompanied by a recumbent bull (Nandi), rendered in bold relief in the indigenous South Indian hammered style. The design is framed by a decorative border of raised pellets encircling the entire field. Stylized floral or foliate ornaments fill the upper register and peripheral field, consistent with the artistic conventions of Mysore princely coinage of the early nineteenth century.
